Germany Pledges To Double $76 Million in Aid For Somalia

German Foreign Minister, Sigmar Gabriel, has announced that Germany will double its initial pledge of $76 million in aid to Somalia to help the devastated East African country fight the severe drought and famine in the country.

Gabriel made the announcement in the Somali capital of Mogadishu on Monday.

Gabriel traveled to Somalia for a surprise visit, where he met with Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Khaire. After seeing the devastation that the drought has caused – leaving millions of Somalis hungry and without basic needs – Gabriel said that Germany will need to increase the amount of aid they have pledged to the country.

“We are ready to at least double that [$76 million],” he said in a statement.

Khaire thanked Gabriel and Germany for their support.

The United Nations has appealed to various countries’ human rights organisations over the past two months for more aid for Somalia.

The UN has estimated that more than 5 million Somalis are in desperate need of food and other aid. While the country has only declared famine in certain regions, the UN fears that the rest of the country will soon follow suit.

In March, the UN listed several African countries that are either already affected by famine or on the verge of dealing with a devastating faine outbreak.

These countries included Somalia, Nigeria and South Sudan.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic To Recover Fully from Injury Says Agent

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, has released a statement on the condition of Manchester United’s star striker, saying that he will make a full recovery and that his most recent injury will not be ‘career-ending’.

The 35-year-old Swedish star sustained a rather significant knee injury last month. This occurred during Manchester United’s winning match against Anderlecht in the Europa League quarter final, after which he was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Many people believed that the knee injury and subsequent surgery would mean the end of Zlatan’s career. However, his agent has insisted that this is not the case, and that he has already begun the rehabilitation process of his knee ligament.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone successful knee surgery. He will make a full recovery and has not suffered a career-ending injury…The procedure was performed by Freddie Fu, M.D, and Volker Musahl, M.D, of the UPMC Sports Medicine program in Pittsburgh…Zlatan has started rehabilitation at UPMC and will remain under the care of Dr. Fu and Dr. Musahl throughout his recovery,” his agent said in a statement released to the press.

Zlatan and his agent remain confident that he will come back stronger, despite critics thinking otherwise.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, however, has said that he expects Ibrahimovic’s recovery to be very hard, given his age.

Ibrahimovic has been a star player for United this season. In his first season with the English Premier League club, he managed to score a whopping 28 goals in a total of 46 appearances.

Kris Jenner’s Stalker Arrested at Her House

Kris Jenner’s alleged stalker, Joshua Jacobs, has reportedly been arrested at the reality star’s home in Los Angeles’ Hidden Hills neighbourhood.

According to various sources, the Lost Hills police department confirmed that they had arrested a man at Jenner’s home over the weekend and that he was charged with stalking, a Class C felony.

This is not the first time Jacobs has been arrested for stalking and trespassing at Jenner’s home. The police department confirmed that this is a repeated offense for Jacobs, who has been stalking Kris Jenner for quite some time.

According to sources close to Kris, the 62-year-old momager is unharmed and safe.

Reports suggested that Jacobs somehow broke into the gated community in which Kris lives by ‘breaking the arm’ of a security gate.

He then proceeded to the front door of Kris’ home, where he was then stopped by Kris’ personal security guards.

Jenner’s body guards detained Jacobs until the police arrived and he was arrested.

This is not the first time Kris has had a personal encounter with a stalker. In December of last year, while her house was being decorated for Christmas, a random man walked right into her home and into Kris’ personal office where she was working at the time.

Kris reportedly screamed for help and her personal security detained the man.

The matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner clan is also not the only one in her family that has had to deal with stalkers.

Most recently, Kris’ youngest kids – Kendall and Kylie – each had to deal with their own stalkers.

Kendall’s stalker was arrested as he tried to confront her in the driveway of her home. She later had to testify against him in court.

There might be a lot of pros to being super famous, but there certainly are some scary cons, too.

How To Keep Your Body Hydrated For Glowing Skin & Hair

Everyone dreams of having beautiful, fresh and glowing skin and hair that radiates health. A glowing complexion and healthy, shiny hair will not only make you look youthful and fresh, but also make you feel fantastic.

The key to glowing skin and hair, is to keep your body thoroughly hydrated.

Dehydrated skin gives you a dull complexion, and your skin feels dry, flaky and tight. As for your hair, it loses its natural sheen when your body is not hydrated properly.

There are various ways of ensuring that your body gets enough hydration. One of the easiest ways to ensure optimum hydration is to focus on what you are eating and drinking.

Here are a few easy ways to ensure you are keeping your body hydrated well enough so that you can show off that beautiful, glowing skin and hair.

Drink Enough Water

The first and most important rule of them all. Drinking enough water is an essential part of keeping your body hydrated.

Aim for at least two liters of water a day, and more if you can. Drinking water will not only help flush your system of unwanted toxins, but it will help keep your ph-balance correct, which directly contributes to healthy skin and hair.

Eggs, Spinach & Nuts

These are all foods that are rich in proteins, but aren’t meat.

While meat is a good source of protein – an essential part of plump, healthy skin and shiny hair – these other foods are digested more easily by your body while still providing you with essential proteins.

So make sure you eat enough of these foods.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is like nature’s miracle oil for all things hydration. There are endless ways in which you can use coconut oil to promote hydration in the body.

You can use it to cook with in various dishes or as a replacement for olive oil or sunflower oil, or you can use it topically as a moisturiser for your skin and as a conditioner for your hair.

Coconut water is also extremely hydrating and healthy, so if you’re getting bored of drinking water, you can switch it up by drinking coconut water.

Hydration is very important for a healthy, working body as well as beautiful hair and skin. Especially in the harsh African sun, it is important to keep well hydrated throughout the year.
