Less than a week after the 2018 Golden Globes, Hollywood again gathered for an awards celebration at the 23rd Critics’ Choice Awards.
Nominees and winners are chosen by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, an association of approximately 250 television, radio and online critics in the US and Canada.
The night – hosted by Olivia Munn – saw “The Shape of Water” leading the film categories, taking four awards, while “Big Little Lies” shone for TV, also taking home four awards.
James Franco won Best Actor in a Comedy for The Disaster Artist, but was notably absent from the ceremony, after five women came forward with accusations of sexual misconduct against him this week.
