Kendall Jenner Gets Permanent Restraining Order Against Stalker

Supermodel Kendall Jenner has gotten a permanent restraining order against her stalker. It was granted after her attorney presented the courts with dozens of ‘love letters’ addressed to her from the middle-aged man.

Thomas Hummel, Kendall’s stalker, has been sending her love letters since February.

Jenner’s attorney, Shawn Holley, represented her in court yesterday, as she was unable to attend. Holley stated that while the letters started out as loving, they quickly became hostile.

Hummel allegedly started to insult Kendall’s mother, Kris Jenner, and her rumoured boyfriend, rapper, A$AP Rocky, in the letters. He also started calling Kendall vulgar names, saying that she had “become an internet whore”.

Kendall’s head of security also testified at the court proceedings. His testimony, along with proof of the letters, prompted the judge to issue a permanent restraining order against Hummel.

The judge ordered Hummel to stay at least 100 yards (90 meters) away from Kendall at all times and forbade him from contacting her in any way or form for the next three years.

This is not the first time that the 21-year-old has had to deal with stalkers. Earlier in the year, an obsessed fan broke into Kendall’s house. She opened up about the trauma the break-in caused her in an episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’.

Kendall said that she had completely lost her sense of security.

“I used to be the one who was so independent. I was always kind of by myself, in a good way…But now it’s fully flipped [sic],” she said in the episode.

Kendall has not commented publicly on the court ruling.

Will Smith Talks about Relationship with Daughter Willow

Will Smith has opened up about his relationship with his daughter, Willow Smith.

Willow, who turns 17 in October, has been in the limelight since she was a little girl. She rose to fame in 2010 with the release of her first single, ‘Whip My Hair’, the music video of which stars a sassy Willow whipping her hallmark locks back and forth.

In what was considered by many as a ‘controversial parenting move’, Will and wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, allowed Willow to go on a world tour, to perform her hit songs ‘Whip My Hair’ and ‘21st Century Girl.’

Willow, who was only 10 at the time, seemed to struggle with the pressures of a world tour; something Will Smith recently admitted in Jay-Z’s new ‘Footnotes of Adnis’ video.

Will opened up about some of his daughter’s impulsive and troubling behaviour during her tour.

“We came downstairs and she had shaved her head bald. She shaved her head bald in the middle of her ‘Whip My Hair’ tour. I was like, ‘Oh…[sic],” Will said.

He revealed that Willow had wanted to end the tour prematurely and return home, but that he had pushed her to continue. However, Smith soon realised his mistake as well as the importance of putting her needs above work commitments.

He continued, saying that the experience made him gentler with his daughter and to appreciate her emotional needs.

“For me, it was that soldier that was pushing and wasn’t paying any attention whatsoever to what was going on emotionally with this beautiful little creature in front of me. That was the first part of the collapsing of my father’s suit that I was wearing that wasn’t mine,” he said.

Will and Jada have been very open in the past about their parenting with their children, including 19-year-old son, Jaden Smith.

They believe that an open, honest relationship with children is the best way.

Legendary Playwright and Actor Sam Shepard Dies

Legendary playwright, actor and author, Sam Shepard, has passed away last week at the age of 73.

Shepard, who suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly referred to as ALS, motor neuron disease or Lou Gehrig’s disease, passed away on Thursday, 27 July at his home in Kentucky.

A family spokesperson confirmed to the New York Times that Shepard passed away due to complications associated with his disease.

Shepard was considered one of the greats in the modern, literary arts and the theatre world. During his career, he produced 44 plays and wrote several books, poems, memoirs and short stories.

He won a Pulitzer Prize for his play, ‘Buried Child’, in 1979. He was also nominated two years prior; first in 1977 for his play ‘Fool for Love’ and again in 1978 for ‘True West.’

Although reluctant to be in front of the camera, Shepard eventually ventured into acting himself.

He starred in classic films, such as ‘Steel Magnolias’ and ‘All the Pretty Horses’, and was nominated for an Oscar in 1984 for his performance in ‘The Right Stuff.’

Shepard met actress Jessica Lange on the set of the film ‘Frances’ in the early 1980s. They fell in love and remained together for close to 30 years, until their separation in 2009.

They have two children together, Hannah and Samuel Shepard. Sam also has another son, Jesse, whom he had with ex-wife, O-Lan Jones.

Upon the news of his death, several celebrities, including fellow actors, writers and directors, posted tributes to the late legend on social media.

“Sam Shepard. Whenever he came on-screen, you knew you were in good hands. A frame from Days of Heaven. May he rest in love,” filmmaker Ava Duvernay posted on Twitter, alongside a photograph of Shepard and his ‘Days of Heaven’ co-star, , Brooke Adams.

“Sam Shepard. What a titan of a human and artist,” said Josh Groban.

“A hero of theatre. A hero of writing. A hero of acting. A hero of mine. Sam Shepard RIP,” said actor, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

Our condolences to his friends and family, may he rest in peace.

Angelina Jolie Opens Up about New Single Life

This week, Angelina Jolie sat down for her first in-depth interview since her split from Brad Pitt. Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, she opened up about what her life is like as a newly single woman.

Angelina spoke candidly about her goals in life, revealing that her main priority these days is to create a loving home for her six children. She said that while she’s still trying to get the hang of being a ‘domestic goddess’, her kids have been encouraging her all the way.

She also opened up about her childhood, and the affect her parents’ split had on her. Angelina has always been open about the fact that she does not have the best relationship with her father, Jon Voight. She did, however, say that the two of them are working on re-building their father-daughter relationship.

“I was very worried about my mother, growing up…I do not want my children to be worried about me. I think it’s very important to cry in the shower and not in front of them. They need to know that everything’s going to be all right even when you’re not sure it is [sic],” she said.

Angelina has often praised her mother for the way in which she raised her and her brother, and has said that her mother’s death due to cancer had a major impact on her life.

In 2013, Angelina underwent a preventative double mastectomy, in an effort to lower her chances of developing breast cancer. She did this after finding out that carries the faulty gene, known as BRCA1, which increased her risk of developing breast cancer to approximately 87%.

Two years later, in 2015, she revealed that she had both her ovaries and her fallopian tubes removed as a preventative measure against ovarian cancer.

She revealed in the Vanity Fair interview that she had no qualms about the surgery.

“I went into the actual surgery happy as they come…I was skipping. Because at that point it was just preventative,” she said.

Angelina emphasised again that her main focus is her children, and that she never wants them to feel stressed or traumatised.

2017 MTV Video Music Awards: Nominees

One of the most notorious music award shows is right around the corner, and this year, it seems that the MTV Video Music Awards will be more controversial than ever.

Ever since its inception in 1984, the MTV VMAs have been the stage for artists to showcase some of their more risqué performances.

Madonna paved the way for other artists at the first VMAs in 1984, when she performed her contentious hit, ‘Like A Virgin’ in a cheeky wedding dress ensemble.

In 1992, rock band Nirvana performed two songs that were not approved by MTV television executives, landing them in some hot water.

The princess of pop, Britney Spears, made quite an impression during her performance of ‘I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction)’ in 2000, when she ripped her clothes off to reveal a sparkling bodysuit.

Of course, no one can forget the infamous moment when Kanye crashed Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech, claiming that Beyonce had the better music video.

More recently, Miley Cyrus’ raunchy performance with Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMA’s was described as one of the most shocking in the award show’s history.

Linkin Park Frontman Chester Bennington Dead at 41

Linkin Park frontman, Chester Bennington, has died at the age of 41, after an apparent suicide.

A Los Angeles County coroner verified that the singer was found dead at his home in the affluent Los Angeles suburb of Palos Verdes at around 9AM on Thursday morning.

“We can confirm that unfortunately Mr. Chester Bennington is dead…We are currently out there conducting an investigation. At this time, it’s being treated as a possible suicide,” a spokesperson for the LA County Coroner’s office said.

According to gossip website, TMZ, Bennington committed suicide by hanging himself. Other sources have said that he was found with a belt around his neck, hanging from a door separating his bedroom from his closet.

The sources also said that there was a ‘partially empty’ bottle of alcohol found in his bedroom, but no drugs.

During his life, Bennington often spoke out about his addiction to drugs and alcohol. However, in 2011, he said he was giving up alcohol.

He also spoke on numerous occasions about being sexually abused as a child, which may have contributed to his depression.

While there has been no official statement released regarding Bennington’s death by his family or Linkin Park, the band’s guitarist and co-founder, Mike Shinoda, confirmed the tragedy on Twitter.

“Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one,” his tweet read.

Linkin Park was scheduled to go on tour in a week’s time to promote their new album, ‘One More Light’. Coincidentally, they also released a new music video, for the song ‘Talking To Myself’ on the morning of Bennington’s death.

Bennington was a very close friend of Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman, Chris Cornell, who also committed suicide by hanging in May of this year. Bennington sang at Cornell’s funeral, and penned a heartfelt open letter to his late friend, saying that he ‘prays [you] find peace in the next life.’

Bennington died on what would’ve been Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

Chester is survived by his wife, Talinda Bentley, their son Tyler and twin daughters, Lilly and Lila, as well as three other children from his previous relationships.

RIP, Chester. We hope you find peace in the next life.

Chris Hemsworth: Charlize Should Play Bond

In an interview with W Magazine recently, Chris Hemsworth said that he believes South African actress, Charlize Theron, would be the ideal candidate to be the next James Bond.

“Well I’ve made the comment that Charlize Theron should be the next Bond because she scares the hell out of me,” the Australian actor said in the interview.

Chris and Charlize know each other well, having worked together on ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and its sequel, ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’.

Chris gushed about playing opposite with the South African beauty, saying that he was very impressed with her skills.

“You know I worked with her on Snow White and The Huntsman, watching her in those fight scenes doing it in those high heels and an eight-foot long gown was even more impressive [sic],” he said.

Chris said he thinks it’s ‘time’ for the 007 franchise to employ a female lead.

The current James Bond, British actor Daniel Craig, has made headlines for saying that he does not want to reprise his role as the suave spy. However, more recently, reports suggest that the production company was able to convince Craig to play the role for the fifth time.

All we know is that we would definitely be excited for a female Bond – and Charlize would be the perfect choice.

Chelsea Peretti & Jordan Peele Welcome First Child

Actors, Chelsea Peretti and Jordan Peele, have welcomed their first child, and we’re sure this little one will grow up with a lot of laughs.

Both Chelsea and Jordan are amazing comedic actors. Chelsea stars on the hit comedy show, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’, and Jordan has made a name for himself in the award-winning sketch comedy series, ‘Key & Peele’.

The couple started dating in 2012, and in 2015, Jordan proposed to Chelsea.

Proving once again that they are not your run-of-the-mill kind of couple, the pair decided to elope in November of 2016, with only their dog as a witness to the nuptials.

Chelsea’s pregnancy announcement was, naturally, very funny.

The 39-year-old actress made the announcement in February, a day after Beyoncé almost broke the internet when she announced she was pregnant with twins.

With the world elated over Beyoncé’s pregnancy, Chelsea decided to ride on Queen Bey’s coattails, and posted a photograph of her pregnant belly on her Instagram account with the caption: “Beyoncé schmonce.”

A source close to the couple revealed that Chelsea gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 1 July, and that the pair have decided to name their son Beaumont Gino Peele.

Congratulations, Chelsea and Jordan.

Caitlyn Jenner Wants to Get Into Politics

Caitlyn Jenner might have a new gig soon, and we’re not talking reality TV.

Jenner joined radio station, AM 970 New York, on Sunday, and the conversation quickly turned to her political ambitions.

Caitlyn said that she has been ‘seriously considering’ stepping into the political arena so as to make a ‘better impact’ on the world.

“The political side of [my transition] has always been very intriguing to me. Over the next six months or so, I gotta find out where I can do a better job,” she told the radio station.

Jenner also questioned whether she will be able to do more ‘from the inside’. She has long since said that she wants to use her platform to help the LGBTQ community.

“Can I do a better job from the outside? Kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talk to anybody? Or are you better off from the inside, and we are in the process of determining that. Yea, but I would look for a senatorial run [sic],” she said.

This is not the first time that the former Olympian has hinted at getting involved in politics.

In April she told Don Lemon on CNN that she was looking into how she could help the LGBTQ community through politics and that she would ‘seriously consider’ it if she felt she could truly make a difference.

Ariana Grande Made Honorary Citizen of Manchester

Ariana Grande has received a very special accolade from the city of Manchester.

Just yesterday, the English city made Ariana Grande its first honorary citizen.

The Manchester City Council decided to grace Ariana with this special privilege to acknowledge her contribution following the devastating terror attack at her concert at the Manchester Arena on 22 May.

Ariana organised a benefit concert in the city, named ‘One Love Manchester’, two weeks after the incident, which showcased performances by Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Liam Gallagher, The Black Eyed Peas and many more.

All proceeds of the event went to the survivors of the attack and the families of the victims.

Manchester City council leader, Richard Leese, told council members that making Ariana an honorary citizen would be the perfect way to ‘recognise her noteworthy contribution’ to the city.

“It would have been understandable if she had never wanted to see this place again. But she determined she would not perform again until she had returned to Manchester. In doing so, she brought comfort to thousands, [and] she raised millions for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund [sic]” Leese said.

Congratulations, Ariana.
